PEYOTE SQUARE POCKET 13" X 13"
Legends tell that, centuries ago, the Huichol people in mountain were running out of water and food, so four brave young men embarked on a trip searching for supplies. Suddenly, a dear appeared before them and led them to the Wirikuta desert in San Luis Potosí, where peyote blossomed under the sunlight. When they brought the plants to their people, hunger and thirst vanished, and peyote became a sacred plant that would cure their ills and give their traditions a new direction that extends to the present. A good example is the work of Fernando Benitez, Huichol Embroidery, which is currently part of the cultural treasures of CASA PINEDA COVALin in the city of Querétaro.
